With my God-given insight into Scripture, and ability to understand difficult to understand verses, I have discovered a description of a modern church service in the prophecies of Hosea. It is safe to say that you will probably never find this interpretation anywhere in the world but here:
“Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to him: “Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.” (Hosea 14:2) (NIV)
This discribes modern-day church services. The first phrase says, “take words with you.” What do people do when they go to church? They take their Bibles with them. Printed words.
The next phrase says, “Say to him: ‘Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously.” What do people do in church? They say, “for give my sins.” This is done through the grace of God, the Gospel.
The next phrase says, “that we may offer the fruit of our lips.” What is the fruit of our lips? Praise and worship, which is a major element in modern church services.
Since this passage is speaking to Israelites, it is predicting that they will eventually become Christians, as many of have, since they do not know that they are of the lost tribes of Israel.
